Three collages based on Views, Conceptual and Impression of Site (Brooklyn)
Along with models corresponding to the collage.
1. Views - Since the site I chose is Brooklyn, this represents the most important and perhaps only view, which is the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline along with the serene park. Also, the evolution of the skyline through time.

2. Conceptual - The open environment. The elevated mass that sort of blends with the public and allows views. The patterns evident throughout and the circulation serving as communal spaces.

3. Site Impression - It's history remains evident throughout, especially with the bricks and cobblestone roads. The site itself is an attraction which brings people together through events and activities.

Good start, but you ned to abstract the ideas. What is VIEW in your mind. It should not necessarily show the site.
ReplyDeleteAnd what is HISTORY in your mind. You need to think out of the box and reinterpret those two words. You are cutting yourself short with possibilities.
Yes you are definitely about 'framing' and aperture. I offer this though, think maybe also about the idea of an inward view, perhaps a place where someone can experience light, sun even, calm.. so as to escape the city bustle while in this space.
