Presented is a diagram showing the rectilinear abstraction of the park which compliments the building as a sculptural object that is open to the public, using the park as an influence.
The following images explores the first scheme for the public core. The platforms
allow the public to walk around the exterior walls of the building that
can be used to have exhibits. The stairs are at the center of the core.
By eliminating the wall at the ground floor, we allow the building to be
more porous to the public and park. The public can now also detect the
stairway from the park.
The idea of the public space as a connector of the enclosed private is great! Maybe your open public space could take characteristics of a vertical garden as your main design operation. You could create a 'public farm' along with the vertical movement of your ramp.
ReplyDeleteTake a look at the last project of this link:

Also, look at proposals from the work ac architectural office. For example the idea of this project:

Also, think what is the material of your building wrapper.
Great progress!

I am really liking your progress, and the analytics of what your process shows makes your project a pleasure to follow. Given the obvious reason that you've made it a focus, I am drawn continally to the open nature of the envelope, allowing for views, fresh air, and natural lighting to enter. While you have some obvious talent in the modeling arena, I would really like to 'feel' what it is like inside looking out. That said, perhaps some renderings that present us with more of a daylighting realism, from the inside looking out. Put is in the space, really, and validate your notions of the lighting effects. I anticipate they will be quite interesting. Very nice work thus far, keep up the good progress. acg
