Basement:
The grand stair on the ground floor leads to the basement where the
auditorium is located. In order to connect the public/ada elevator I
had to create a corridor. But, it resulted in creating an open space
instead. This can be used for a communal space or a cafeteria.
Ground & Second:
There are 2 entrances to the building. One located at the front lot
and the other on the back lot. The main entrance is located on the main
building (back lot). The lobby is embedded with the art gallery at ground level
that also connects with the second level art gallery. The communal stair
by the art spaces aim towards the view of the Brooklyn bridge.
Third:
Provides offices on the back lot while a lounge is located on the front lot towards the park.
Fourth:
Computer lab & library
5,6,7 :
Studios + SHOPs (Fabrication)
Rooftop:
Provides additional views that visitors will enjoy and that in-house artists can also exhibit outdoor sculptures as well.

Dear Renz your plans look healthy overall.
ReplyDeleteThe auditorium in the basement needs a more detailed design. It is not clear where are the main entrances to this space. Consider that you also need space behind the scene. You should of course include in the design of the audotorium the stepping floor. A section next to the plan would be very helpful. It is also important to design the auditorium lobby.
You should definitely work more on the floors 5,6,7 . I am not so sure that the shops programmatically should be that far from the entrance level as they are more public in their use than the studios.
Overall your design is progressing in a very exciting way!
